At 5 tonnes – equivalent to two standard 2½-tonne blocks – these heavy duty barriers provide exceptional stability and security while providing a flexible and simple installation measure requiring minimal deployment and removal time.

The impressive dimensions of 5 tonne concrete blocks (3200mm x 800mm x 800mm) create an imposing physical presence that serves as both a practical safety barrier and a visual deterrent when paired with other security products like palisade fencing and steel security doors, to name a few.

Manufactured using 50N/mm² Class A fire-resistant concrete and reinforced with M10 steel bars, these blocks deliver uncompromising strength and durability even in the most challenging and unpredictable environments.

Superior security: Weighing 5 tonnes, these blocks are significantly more difficult to move or tamper with than standard temporary vertical concrete barriers (TVCBs), effectively making it more difficult to gain access to vacant sites.

Numerous applications: These blocks complement Maltaward’s existing security product range, working alongside our 6m concrete delta barriers and temporary metal fencing which surrounds the perimeter. In turn, this and other security solutions create comprehensive site protection.

Ease of installation: Each block features two 7½-tonne lifting pins cast into the top, requiring specialised lifting clutches to move, which is only possible via a heavy duty Hiab crane. As a result, this makes them virtually impossible for intruders to move on their own, much less reposition once installed.

Long-term value: Constructed from high-grade materials with a design life exceeding 100 years, these blocks represent exceptional value whether purchased or hired.
